General Information
Travel Information You can travel South African Airways from Washington and New York to Johannesburg. Daily connection will bring you to our Hosea Kutako International Airport near Windhoek. Their service is immaculate, you can make use of the link to their booking facility or contact us for assistance with reservations if needed. You can also fly Air Namibia from Frankfurt directly to our Hosea Kutako International Airport near Windhoek, if you wish to fly via Europe. You only need a valid passport to enter our country. American Citizens do not need a visa for Namibia and no medical inoculations are required before entering our country. You are met at the airport upon your arrival, the journey takes you via Windhoek our capital to camp. The drive from the airport to camps takes approximately three hours by car. Charter flights are also available.
Clothing
You do not need to bring a lot of clothing along. We do daily laundry at no additional charge. Bring along a good pair of binoculars, long khaki, olive, green or camouflage trousers and long-sleeve shirts. A good pair of sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat and lots of sunscreen lotion is advisable. During the winter months, bring along a padded windbreaker, mittens , a shawl and ear warmers. The winter mornings during June, July and August are very cold, especially in the open vehicles. Bring comfortable, well ‘broken-in’ boots. Don’t forget the cameras!
